As I posted before, higher combustion temperature results in more power and better (complete) combustion. But, unwelcomed guests come with it--NOx. Sure, ceramic engines sould pretty good. Very little energy is lost to the surround, so efficiency can be imporved. This is not 60's or 70's any more. We live in ecology-sensitive of 90's. We ahve to pay attention not only to power output but also to pollutants. If auto companies can come up with ways to reduce the emission of pollutants, ceramic engines can dominate the future of auto engines. |
