Once they have transformed, should desires arise, 5. You must quell them using the nameless natural state[pu]. 6. You must also know when you have enough. 7. Knowing[when you have enough], you will be tranquil, 8. And the ten thousand things will be stable all on their own. % 죽간본의 1절은 원래 道恒無名이지만 rime을 고려하면 無爲가 맞다고 함. (huiar 과 huar) 다음은 今本 37장: 道常無爲而無不爲, 도는 언제든지 일하지 않으나 되지 않는 것이 없으니, 侯王若能守之, 제후와 왕들이 만일 이것을 지킬 수 있으면 萬物將自化, 만물이 스스로 변할 것이다. 化而欲作, (스스로)변하면 욕심이 생길 것이고 吾將鎭之以無名之樸, 이것을 이름없는 담박함으로 억눌러야 한다. 無名之樸, 이름없는 담박함은 夫亦將無欲, 욕심을 없앨 것이니 不欲以靜, 욕심이 없으면 곧 고요해지고 天下將自定. 천하가 스스로 안정된다.
