Of course there were the ubiquitous flicker of stationary stars, but I was anxious awaiting the ephemeral flash of SHOOTING STARS! Tonight is the once a year "meteor showere" night. I hope you all were able to see it! But as I watched the marvelous sights, I wonder why such a beautiful sight only lasts for just a second. Aren't so many things life equally fleeting especially the most important things. HOw come friendships form with such alacrity but yet end up like a shooting star, fading away as quickly as it had formed? Then you wonder was there really "love" in the relationship? Maybe. probably not. Who knows what love REALLY is? Can TRUE love be so temporary? Contemplating this question, I see the stark contrast of the shooting stars and the stationary stars that seem to remain constant. Sometimes your eyes seem to make a trick on you as the stars seem to flicker a bit or even move! True love REMAINS! It might shake a bit when the relationship rattles through the undulating waves of life, but it Remains! It does not fade lieke a shooting star! You must then wonder, does this kind of LOVE really exist? If yes, then what is it? Ask yourself have you really experienced this kind of love, one that can is independent from circumstances. Bringing in some more aspects of nature, it's like the "eye of a tornado". While the tornado is spinning aroudn at speeds up to 100 mph, the "eye" or the centure of that cyclone is absolutely calm. This kind of LOVE is free, untouched by the tumultous storm called LIFE! It might "flicker" but it endures! Man, don't you want to find this kind of love! I do! I only know one word that comes close to this kinda of love. It's AGAPE! a Greek word! May all who read this find "AGAPE" (it's also an English word for "mouth wide open", but this is a greek word!)
