Anything new? July even left no "goodbye smile" to me. It wasn't, though, malaise month at all during which I stayed in beach one night with fellow Korean guys and girls, and had received an entity called "nephew." However, July just got disappeared like an ocean fog. Yes, my sister is now a publicly recognized Mom; looking at her bare breasts at home is so trivial and natural that it seems like drinking Heineken in weekend. I took a vacation for watching my "aga" nephew; he's sooooooooo cute. Sister insisted bedding him as she played CD titled _music to improve brain_ (meo-ri ga jo-a-ji-neun eum-ak). But, usually, she ended up herself sleeping as she listened to it, and "Dong-ju" (Andrew) got sleep in my arms watching (?) Korean video, _Seo-ul ui dal_, in the living room; he seemed to take not much liking to Cha In-pyo. Touching, smelling, and holding him is feeling what life is. We performed "sa-mul nol-i" at the beach we stayed; San Simaen State Beach near by San Luise Obispo. Gud-geo-ri dance we learned there was awesome. Peculiar thing about "pung-mul" is that it touches (?) your very feeling as you create sound and rhythm, not feeling through theories or knowledge. The "Ki" of pung-mul deconstructs formality as it constructs itself. Wonder if Foucault and Derrida ever known "pung-mul." We (about 20 peoples) hugged each other as we stayed all night at cold, chilling beach, near around fire. Letting July go... -------------------------------------------- 혹시라도 어쩌다가 아픔같은 것이 저며올 때는 그럴 땐 바다를 생각해 바다 ... ----- 김민기의 <봉우리> 중에서 ----------- J jhan@ucsd.edu |
