[ EnglishOnly ] in KIDS 글 쓴 이(By): asadal (아사달~) 날 짜 (Date): 1998년 8월 12일 수요일 오전 09시 32분 51초 제 목(Title): Translation(?) of the story above For those of you who are starting to develop a headache from trying to figure out what the room service person actually said, here is my best guess at the correct answers. :) And believe me, some people do actually speak like this (or at least it sure sounds that way). :) I guess you could say it's the opposite of the way we (Koreans) pronounce English. We tend to pronounce all consonents explicitly, and don't use enough intonation, while the person in this story simply leaves out the weaker sounding consonents but is probly getting all the intonation right. We would say "Seu-teu-ra-ee-keu," and the person here would simply say "RAI!" :) Room Service: "Morny. Ruin sorbees." -----> (Good) Morning. Room Service.
