Most Postdoc will get J1 visa because postdocs are postdocs. They are temporary workers. However, if you become at least a research associate or tenure-track, your school will strongly recommend you to get H1 and they will help you to get one. If you try to get H1 visa by yourself without your school's help, you may find it very hard. |
