Even the students who have lstudied in the US for about two years often cannot pass the test if they have not worked on their English . On the other hand, I have seen a few students who just got to the US getting 225 or so on the test. So, the question is really how much you have worked to improve your spoken English. Now, I am going to talk about each section of the test. There are seven sections in the test. In section one you will get simple questions such as "What's your name?" or "What is the number you see on the booklet?" or "What is your plan in the future?". They are easy questions, and you can answer them easily. Again you don't have to go on and on as long as you answer the questions. In section 2, you will be asked to read a paragraph outloud. You will be given about a minute or so so that you can read the paragraph silently, and then you'll be asked to read it outloud. As I said earlier, do not try to read too fast here. Whatch your intonation and pronunciation since you have only to read in this section. One good way to practice for this section is to read a paragraph (your textbook or any magazine) outloud everyday. If possible, record your reading and get feedback fromm an American friend or teacher.나주에 계속하기로 하고 이만 여기서 멈춥니다. |
