World Health Organization Predicts Disease Will Hit U.S. Within One Year! by Kevin Creed/Weekly World News JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - A horrifying new virus has emerged that strikes only males between the ages of 18 and 55 and shrinks their genitals away to nothing! The virus, known as Transvaal Leprous Syndrome or TLS, consumes the tissue of the penis and scrotum, leaving all other body parts untouched. It's deceptively painless but it attacks with savage ferocity and thoroughness -- numbing first, then devouring. The victims' genitals decrease in size day-by-day until eventually there is, quite literally, nothing left of them. "I've never seen a more hideous illness," says Dr. Argus van Walsen of the South African Board of Health. "We've studied TLS for five months and all we have are unanswered questions. "We don't know how it's transmitted or why it strikes only the male reproductive system. Other than a slight cough and minor headache, there are no symptoms other than erosion of the genitalia. "All we know is that more men are coming down with it every day." As of this writing, there have been 3,164 reported cases in the tiny Transvaal region of South Africa since November. An alarming 143 cases have erupted in nearby Botswana and 252 emerged in Rhodesia. Though it appears women may be carriers, only men actually contract the dread illness. "We know it's not just a sexually transmitted disease," says Dr. van Walsen. "We believe it may be airborne. But we frankly don't know for sure." The mysterious nature of the disease has led South African health officials to issue victms protective suits that cover every square inch of their bodies. The suits include a device that goes over the face and filters exhaled air. "They may have to wear them for the rest of their lives," said Dr. van Walsen. "We just don't know." One chilling sidelight to an already disturbing story: Based on rate of contagion and an unknown period of incubation, World Health Organization studies conclude that TLS will hit the U.S. within one year.
