Why? * What is the ground state energy of a hydrogen atom? * If you send a beam of photons or electrons to double slits, what pattern emerges? How large is the pattern? Why? * Why do radioactive atoms decay exponentially? They are a few of myriads of questions that quantum mechanics can answer, *exactly*, but other discipline of (pseudo-)science can't. Some branch of quantum mechanics is so exact that the prediction matches the experiment with ten significant digits! (Sorry, I forgot which experiment, but it's got to do with QED.) Now argue with that. |
