[ canaDA ] in KIDS 글 쓴 이(By): TACK () 날 짜 (Date): 2000년 5월 11일 목요일 오후 09시 45분 08초 제 목(Title): Re: [잡담] 노트북 워런티! 그리고 캐나� the retail company who sold you the computer can exchange w/ new one if avail, or give you a full refund within a reasonable period of time frame since the purchase. they _do_ not have to give you a new one. as a customer service, most retailers, do give you a new one as a replacement. in case of laptop, it's a mickey mouse situation. most retailers do not make a lot of margin in retail consumer grade computers. laptop is just barely a bit better. in case of future shop, the margin would be much lower. retailers just don't have the budget do provide such "extra" service that many are accustomed to anymore these days. another months or two, getting re-imbursement means their cash flow is deduced. not many retailers do have that luxury of big fat cash flow available anymore. and if things break down, the retailer "do not" have to take in the broken apliance/computer. consumer are to contact the manufacture for warranty service. for future shop, they do not have to "fix" the computers. future shop does not have the "authorization" to fix many of their computers they sell. our h/w division usually end up getting their junk they sold to consumers. and after their idiot took 'em apart and messed it up really good. i don't think the retail service in canada is any better or worse when compared to their counter part in the us, however, future shop is very "infamous" for their awful post sale customer service. but why is it still surviving? becaue of their usually lower price. when you pay cheaper, you are indeed getting cheaper service, however, the same product. so, do bargain shopping, but when you buy somehting from future shop, good luck and hope and pray it doesn't break down. future shop suck! know what you're doing and what you're buying. |
