INS in US will consider you as a non nafta country residence, in your case you're a korean citizen. you'd have to apply for H-class visa, H-1B has been run out of its annual quota as I've heard... but you should double check. and as a citizen, you can apply for TN visa, or inter-company transfer L-1 visa, which are pretty easy get for canadian citizens. normally, the hiring company wil lhire lawyer on your behalf. talk to them. fyi, TN requirement is, university degree in related field w/ 2 yrs of experience. but, i've known many cases, there the 2 yrs wasn't really enforced at the border. quite a few of my friends are in the us right after grad. hope that helps. for further info, contact me via e-mail, tack@sprint.ca |
