I was very happy with the news that the departments of Electronics, Electrical Eng. and Micro Wave Eng. are going to be united. In my opinion, it would be a good decision for the development of our Yonsei. First, there would be more avaliable courses to students because the number of faculty would be almost tripled. Second, the waste of energy of professors could be reduced by uniting departments which have almost same curiculum. Third, it will be more likely that the courses are taught by professors who know the courses better. It was not unusual that professors had to teach courses which have nothing to do with their specialties. Forth, professors can have more time to do their research. This could be followed by the improvement of the quality of graduate school. Fifth, professors can find more chances to cooperate each other in research projects. Students and professors can use the facilities which was owned by three different departments. Sixth, there would be more choice of professors to students when they go to graduate school.
