I posted one regarding apartment at Palo Alto already a month ago. Somehow hanterm at my affice is only readable in Koreans (It is breaking hangul codes when I try to post one) so my deepest apologies in writing in English. I just got to Stanford area yesterday (and staying at hotel near Redwood city). Housing office at SLAC (some institution near Stanford U) is helping me in finding out a room but if any of you have new info, that would be greatly appreciated. I made a bank account at Washington Mutual. All Traveler's checks I brought went into savings and cash I brought went into checking account. The financial manager said it took some days to issue a ATM card or so. Is it usual? I thought they would give me one immediately. Was Washington Mutual a bad choice? Can I transfer money from savings to checking w/o ATM card? Well, probably I'll just goto bank again and ask. Hope to be able to write in Korean soon. Gam Sa. hepman |
