It changed to Electrical and Computer Eng (ECE) sometime ago. well...in terms of number of students I don't think so. UofM is a state university and ,as most state univesities do, it has lots of students. in terms of number of faculty, this is kind of a transition period. During last one and half years, many faculty members in ECE left the U and now the department keep hiring new members from the world... well...what kind of pro sports teams do they have is not that important. weather..you might give some credit on it but not that critical. since, anyway, we and all other minnesotans live well in this nice and cool atmosphere. If you want to study VLSI or computer eng. this U is quite good. I don't know much on CAD program. You should consider the strenth of the department. I think you must have more information on it, such as fund thing, etc. Good luck!
