For the first time, you are cleary presenting your outcome regarding science as a scientist. I simply did have that kind of impression from your short writings so far. I'm kind suprized that you are saying you don't believe in science in which I thouht you did. I've had chances to talk to people who study science and it is usually the case that people who hold anti-metaphysical persepective in science or anything else have strong beliefs in science. Maybe, that is a reason why I had that kind of impression from you since you always represent the arguments from anti-metaphysical perspective. Yes, there are differences between a form of belief that is held by religious peopls and a form of belief that is held by sceintists. The reason why I said it is a form of belief rather than the form of belief is because I understand the differences between them. However, as we understand the nature of belief, we may suprize that we are not able to find much differences in their essence after all. I have a question for you!! You have sounded like there is no use in ideological philosophy and metaphysics. Then, how do you hold your form of belief in science without taking metaphysical explanation as a possibility when you encounter certain things in science in which there is no logical explanation? I love to hear what you have to say since I never had a chance. Rachel. |
