I never heard that there is a theortical physicist who is famous for knot theory in korea. And in Postech as I know, only one who graduate KAIST and is prof. of theoritical physics is Prof. Oh and his major is statistical physics. There was a associate professor, Dr. Myung who graduated KAIST and was doing SuperString, but he failed to get a tenure position in Postech. Anyway he do not work on knot theory now. Actually I do not know he is working or not, he is too inactive now. I think most famous theoritical physicist who did not study abroad is Prof. Koh of KAIST. But Prof. Koh abondoned his career of physics and made a company KohTech, which make a device of reading hand written characters. |
