I am having some difficulty to change the frequency of a signal using circuit.( Hardware ONLY) I am given the following problem..and I have no problem change the shape of the signal, but I don't know how I would be able to increse the frequency of the signal... The problem given is following.... In an induction motyort control applicationn, a sine wave of 5V peak to peak is produced by a signal generator. The frequency is in the range of 500Hz - 1kHz. The contol innput requires a 0 -15}V pulse train with a frequency 10% higher than the sine wave. This signal should ideally track the input frequency with no delay. Design a circuit to process this input sine wave and produce the required control input. Now, I can change the input sine wave to to required Step wave using Op-amp and RC circuit..no problem.. But, I don't know how to increse the frequency of this signal by 10%..??? Should I use Zero crossing detector? or frequency devider?? or mono-vibrator?? What would you suggest?? If you have any idea , or suggestion ... Please let me know.. Thanks in advance.. |
