Therefore, I'm posting it here to get prompt reply. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found your DANSI very useful and nice. Now, I am about to buy 486 PC with ATI Ultra + as a Window accelerator and I found that that card doesn't work with your DANSI program. I tried all drivers included in your program and none of them worked. As you may know, ATI Ultra Pro/Plus is based on Mach 32 window accelerator chip and it's quite popular in the US. I guess Mach 32 is extension of ATI 8541 graphic adaptor. Besides, I wonder if DANSI works with window accelerator cards based on Weitek P9000 or S3C928?,924?,and 8xx? chips. You know, in the US, your DANSI is of great use because it's not so easy to get PC with h/w Hangul card and many use DANSI with English s/w(especially terminal emulator like Telix) to read and write Hangul on Soc.culture.korean of USENET,KIDS,ARA,and CBUBBS. Therefore, it would be very nice of you to provide drivers for ATI chips and other new accelerators. On top of that, documentations included in DANSI distribution are all in Hangul and it's kind of inconvenient to those who has never used Hangul before on their PCs. They get DANSI to read/write Hangul and find that they cannot install DANSI because all documents are in Hangul they can't read without DANSI(Of course, they can use Madangsoi,IYAGI editor or other Hangul editors, but it's still inconvenient). I'd like you to include English README file in DANSI. Still better solution is make configuration/installation program for DANSI like one contained in IYAGI. Command line options for DANSI is very awkward although I can make a batch file for that. Config/installation file would greatly ease the installation procedure. ------------------------------------------------------------------- werner, |
