I think we can no longer dismiss this threateningly impending crisis by just saying that there is no way there can be another war in Korea. A friend and his little sister was scheduled to arrive here in California two days ago. Neither of them arrived. The government blocked him from leaving the country because he was eligible for a draft. Though his sister could have left the country, she chose to be with her family instead. Hmm, I wonder if people visiting Korea this summer will have any difficulty coming back to the States. I called my Uncle in Korea to see how things were developing and how they were coping with the uncertainty. His voice lost the confidence it had just few weeks ago. The citizens were instructed to stock food supplies that can last for 15 days. I wish there's something I can do. I wish I can go back. A concerned US citizen, Hanguk-in. |
