Sure, I do care a person's contribution to the society. Famous scientists, famous politicians and artists with masterpieces do contribute to the world a lot. But, whenever I hear some infamous personal gossip about a famous people, I just start not to respect him very much. Everybody makes mistakes. I myself make a lot of mistakes. But, whenever I hear some stories telling a famous guy maltreated his friends, his family or people who worked for him, I put him down under the average people. He, the widely known guy might be a person who took advantage of other people to obtain his goal, be arrogant looking down average people like me. Whatever a person he is, I would not respect him any more as soon as I know that that guy does not respect me. Whatever a person he is, I would not respect who does not care about other average people. As soon as I hear that an artists had a promiscuous sexual life I start ignore his drawings or songs. However beautiful his products might be, his deficit of control just makes me sick. |
