Inanc Tarhan at University of Pennsylvania Postdoctoral position under the supervision of Prof. Ruzena Bajcsy, available immediately to work on the measurement and analysis of bi-directional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) of various materials. The results of these measurements will be used to improve several techniques in computer vision. This position requires a PhD degree in physics, optics or engineering preferably with experience in light scattering and radiometry. Familiarity with spectrometers, polarization components, optical calibration techniques, precision rotation and translation stages, automated data acquisition and modeling interaction of light with matter will be helpful.
