The main focus of all the University activities is towards the private sector, industry and international trade, especially the use and development of tools for information technology. Six areas of competence have been established; engineering, computer science, cognitive science, economics, language as well as media and arts. The University of Skoevde, Sweden hereby gives notification of a vacant post as Senior lecturer in dynamic systems, ref no 218-95-42 The subject area in question lies primarily within the undergraduate program in non-linear dynamic systems (through, among other things, experimental mathematics as systems modelling and computer simulation). The position requires as well be involvment in research in the discipline non-linear dynamic systems, with applications specifically in physics but also for example, in engineering sciences, computer science and possibly also in biology. The applicant must possess a doctorate in theoretical physics with emphasis on the subject of the position as stated above or have an equivalent competence. The position requires involvement both in education and research. The qualification requirements for the post are stated in the Higher Education Ordinance, chapter 4 (i.e. the possession of a doctorate or of corresponding scientific competence). At the appointment of the post, equal importance will be attached to scientific and pedagogical skills. Terms as regards salary will be decided according to competence.
