You can get admitted to any school you want if you can properly compensate what you have already lost. Some of the suggestions are, 1. Get an impressive score from GRE general test. 2. Take the subject test and get a high score (say 95%) 3. Find a concrete research area and study for it. 4. Get involved in research of any form if possible. 5. Contact appropriate faculty members of the schools you prefer and discuss the research problems, raise some question related to it, etc. 6. Improve the GPA. You may not be able to do all of them but try not to lose any. Especially, 3, 4, and 5 help a lot. Good luck. |
