I stayed in US for 4 years on F-1, then I returned to Korea for military service for 18 months. Then, I got married in Korea. Because my visa has expired, I should go to u.s. embassy in Korea to get a new F-1 visa for myself and F-2 visa for my wife. Then, on the way back to u.s., we stopped over at Hawaii for 5 days before I came back to school in mid-west. For me and my wife, we didn't have any problem at all entering u.s. at Honolulu with F-1/2 visas, although my school is not in Hawaii. It was in early 1997. Thing's may be different now, but I am almost sure you won't have problem at all. It doesn't matter whichever airport you use to enter u.s. as long as you(and your wife) have valid visa. How is it different from entering u.s. at LA and then fly over to, say, Texas? You can enter at Hawaii and then fly to other place in the same way. Hope this helped you. In my case, I did all the proccessings regarding visa myself. So, I don't know what the travel agency say regarding this, though. Happy marriage. (캡쳐 끝) |
