Seoul- Los Angeles(Customs)-Dallas_Fortworth- Austin 10-12 hrs 3 hrs 40 minutes 2. Seoul - San Francisco - Dallas_Fortworth - Austin 3. Seoul - Los Angeles - Houston - Austin There used to be a direct flight from LA to Austin, but you can check air-line web page for correct information. American Airline has one direct flight between LAX and AUS: On Jul 31st: Flt no. 1476 Dep:4:45PM(LAX) Arrive(9:36PM, AUS) (For example) American Airline has other flights whcih drop by Dallas and it takes 2 hrs more. (http://www5.americanair.com) It is completely up to your decision which paths to take. Customs at LAX take around 2 to 3 hours. UT Student housing has a long waiting list. New students normally can not enter the student housing for the 1st semester. But the student housing is cheap and enjoyable. Also check Housing and Food Service page in UT home page. You should be able to find a person in your department from the UTKSA web page. http://www.utexas.edu/students/utksa Somebody should pick you up at the Austin airport and guide you to a decent temporary place to sleep. If you have children, bring the injection records for school purpose. Contact UTKSA staffs for help or e-mail to me for further questions.
