This mailing list is called moogoonghwa after the sharon rose of Korea. The purpose of Moongoonhwa is to allow a forum for discussion of Korean culture, politics, economics, and language. The discussion group is an extension of Korean studies at the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in affiliation with the Korea-Pacific Program at IR/PS. The list is open to the general public and although most discussions are in English, contributions in Korean are also welcome. It is hoped this mailing list will support display of Korean characters on various computer platforms with minimal post-processing. This mailing list is hosted by the list server at University of California at San Diego but anyone in cyberspace may join. To subscribe, send a message to listserv@ucsd.edu.
