| [ internet ] in KIDS 글 쓴 이(By): MIDAS (김원종) 날 짜 (Date): 1997년02월16일(일) 11시50분42초 KST 제 목(Title): [I] giant packet from... 문제 해결책 le0: Receive: giant packet from.. 이라는 메시지는 말 그대로 큰 패킷을 받았다는 말입니다. 보통은 1500바이트 이하의 패킷을 사용하는데... 이보다 큰 패킷을 받았을 경우 나오는 메시지랍니다. 근데, 더욱 심각한 문제는 일부 시스템에서는 4096바이트보다 큰 패킷을 받는 경우 네트웍이 정지되는 경우가 발생하기도 하지요. 이것은 Sun Classic, 5, 20 에서 발생하는데, MACIO라는 아키텍쳐를 사용한 경우에 해당한다는군요. 이때는 다음과 같은 패치를 가져다가 kernel을 다시 만들어주면 됩니다. Problem Description: 1145294 Problem is seen on active networks where the network interface on Classic's, LX's, Sparcstations 5 and 20 (based on MACIO) may hang and ignore incoming ethernet packets after receipt of a giant packet that is greater than 4096 bytes. This fix will detect this condition and reset the ethernet interface to prevent the interface from hanging. 잘 아시겠죠?
