Computers are expected to go down late on Friday, August 27 and will hopefully be back up by sometime on Sunday. As announced last week, email formerly sent to "<whoever>@expo.lcs.mit.edu" should now be sent to "<whoever>@x.org". The anonymous FTP host "export.lcs.mit.edu" is now "ftp.x.org". Starting this weekend, the new IP addresses of these hosts are: x.org: 198.112.45.11 ftp.x.org: 198.112.44.100 IP address changes should be transparent to systems using DNS. Anyone anticipating trouble with the new addresses should contact postmaster@x.org.
