RX-7 is better in terms of performance, price, and looks, and so on and on... In my opinion, people like 3000GT better because RX-7 is too much for them. Unlike heavy-weight 3000GT, RX-7 is back-to-basic, pure-bred sports car. Some magazines categorize RX-7 in super-sport cars while 3000GT is put into Grand Touring class. When new RX-7 first came out in 1992 (or 1991?), the supension tuning was so stiff and ready for racing, experts said it's a harsh ride. (But, some people even opted for more stiffer R1 package) So, RX-7 is not a car for everyone. Mazda is famous for making cars that some people love rather than everyone likes. BTW, I thought the body of RX-7 was made of aluminum, not carbon fiber. Since RX-7s were so easily dented, Mazda had to came up with better finish technique. Did they replace Al with carbon fiber this year? Acura NSX...simply the BEST... |
