The "Supplemental" means that it's is designed to "supplement" the main restraint system, seatbelts. SRS is the official name for an air bag. It's obvious "airbag" makes more sense to most people. Now, air bags are founded to be about 45% effective when used with seatbelts. Otherwise, it's about 10% effective. (I did not exactly understand what "effective"meant. I assumed it meant injuries were reduced by a certain percentage.) People tend to think that they are absolutely safe once they opted for SRS and ABS. This kind of over-trust may cause more accidents since people give more credit to those system than they should. Drive safely... Acura NSX...simply the BEST... |
