I came here(SFU) as an Int'l Exchange Student from KAIST. I guess you are a KAIST student. SFU is a comprehensive university. It means the school has no professional school like medical, law school and relatively weak graduate school. However, the undergraduate school is very good as the magazine indicated. (It is not third-rate magazine. If it is, there is no reason why SFU is proud of it.) The strong field of SFU lies in Science and Engineering, esp. applied like electronic, mechanical, computer science. Human and social sciences also provide good undergraduate courses that cannot be matched in Korea. The load of course- works depend on your command of English, but if your field of interest is science and engineering, you don't need to worry much about that. In my personal opinion, most of the math and physics courses are relatively easy compared to KAIST. If you have any question, feel free to contact me via email: judel@sfu.ca or philist@crom.kaist.ac.kr I will return to Korea in a few days. If you also need addtional information on admission to the exchange program, SFU and Vancouver that cannot be given through the email, let me know then I can see you in Korea. @ You can write a letter to me in Korean. :-) |
