However, H1-B visa has a cap (65000 for 1998) and it was filled already this year (11 may 1998). So you can't get H1-B visa this year unless a new cap is set in the Senate/congress. Processing J1 visa is simple, I think (comparing to H1-B). If you mail to the professor who will hire you about your visa status, probably one of secretaries will send you necessary files. Then, after you get IAP-66 form, you can get visa at US embassy in Seoul. Also, you can refer many articles in this board about J1 visa. Good luck. |
