The dealer may ask you for ID and proof of ownerwhip. I picked up 3 blanks on e-bay and took it to a dealer that I go to frequently, and they cut the key for me for free. And they actually "key"ed it (not copy), so the key is as new as I got it 5 yrs ago, w/o the wear of the 5 yr old key. DO NOT TAKE THE KEY to the home depot. They tend to mess things up, and the people there aren't exactly trained well... It'd be a waste to scrap your expensive key. |
