Tanglewood in Lenox, MA It should be great at this time of the year with beautiful sound of the BSO. (I have not checked the schedule, though.) 2. Woodbury Outlet Mall in Woodbury, NY About one-two hour drive from NYC and you can see a lot of excited Koreans there. Somewhere on kids, I saw a posting that No Joo Hyun et. al were seen. :) 3. Lenox Warehouse, Cranbury, NJ If your mother likes Lenox teacups and if you are lucky enough to see a warehouse sale in time, this is one of the only two warehouses in the US. (The other is also in NJ, more distant from NYC.) 4. Corning Glass Museum, Corning, NY They claim that the glass museum in Corning is the number three tourist sight in NY, next to NYC and Niagara Falls, believe it or not. Despite somewhat expensive admission fee, I think it is worth a visit, if once in a lifetime. 5. Bear Mountain State Park of NY Just couple of miles away from Woodbury Mall, you can drive to top of the mountain and see hudson valley, westpoint, etc. Generally speaking, NJ is not such a tourist state, though good for shopping. |
