Grand Canyon: Usually it takes 4-5 hous from both Las Vegas and Phenix. 2. Oak Creek Canyon: "About 16 miles long and rarely more than 1 mile wide, the canyon is known for its spectacularly colored white, yellow and red cliffs dotted with pine, cypress and juniper." If you take 89A south from Fragstaff, the gate city of Grand Canyon, you'll be able to reach Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon. Sedona is retirement and tourism area. 3. Wupatki National Monument and Sunset Crater National Monument: These are also near Flagstaff. 4. Petrified Forest National Park: famous for petrified logs, which are brilliantly colored. "The 28-mile drive through the park offers breathtaking views from Pintado Point and Kachina Point." I don't know much about Pheonix and Tucson area, but I really would like to visit Tucson due to the movies I've seen. Tucson is famous as health or winter resort, because it has an average of 3,800 hours of sunshine a year. I've heard that Pheonix is still hot. |
