(x,y,z) gives uniform distriubtion on a unit cube. now normalized the coordinates such that if r= sqrt(x^2+y^2+z^2) then (x/r,y/r,z/r) is a distribution on a unit sphere. another appraoch would be - i just cooked it up ehehehhehe.... to use area preserving mapping from a sphere to a plane with equal area. you can only estimate numerically and this problem is called map makers' problem in f* gong-do-ri literatures- you know IEEE. ehehe..... i feel this would be more approate. so in this appraoch, if you pick area A on the sphere, it will give you the probability A/4pi. is the area of shpere 4\pi r^2 ? i hope. eheheh... well the next approach... i have to come up with something. don't i? ehehe... use f* klingon technology to bend spatiotemporal fabric of metric structures of the sphere. will ya? uhehehehe... iLUSiON whitepolarcow@hotmail.com |
