They did that to show they have great hardware and software technology. However great their technology may be, they are nowhere near solving chess, and they know that. (Does this IBM thing have anything to do with completely solving 5x5 Go?) You claim that IBM can solve Go, because they solved chess. Congratulations! You just made a great achievement. Go to IBM and tell them they already have the technology to crack most every cryptosystem in use today. The ability to solve Go implies that ability. Everybody, sell your stock in any internet commerce company, because they are dead. Their stock will be worth zero tomorrow when this news comes out and we see this mk-something guy's face in newspapers all over the world. Poor amazon.com guys. They'll be jobless tomorrow. You don't get it. You don't understand the basics of what we are talking about. You don't know that solving Go and beating a human in Go are two very different things. What is the purpose of explaining the difficulty of solving Go when you don't even get what it means to solve it? You know what? You've been looking stupid. Now you start to look funny.
