Avant, apres: Mars regner par bon-heur.|Before, after: Mars reigns for good. --------------- The link of DDD with such 'prophecy' is merely artistic. Since DDD is the decimal period of trivial fraction 1/999^2 = 0. 000 001 002 ... 996 997 999 000 001 002 003 ... which can be rewritten 'using nostradamian dates' 1999, 1998 and 2000: 1/(1000 * 999) * 2000/1998 = 0. 000 001 002 ... --------------- Indeed DDD has 1999 as its 3rd. prime-divisor and has only 7 primes with seven or less digits. While Mars 'reigns' via its alleged "Face". After a kind note of Prof. P.L. Montgomery it is also well known that this integer DDD= 1 002 003 004 ... ... 995 996 997 999 has, by now, ALL its remaining prime divisors of the form p= 666*n +1. Therefore any meaningful 'sieve' to find NEW primes of it does not need to be less broad than by using the loop "~ p = p + 666 ~". Brent and those two (still untouched, c634 and c1900) of A.K. Lenstra. Brent has (1996) successfully 'sliced' the short c209 of Lenstra (1994) in new d21 and c172 which divide not only DDD but number 10^333-1 as well. Thus R.P. Brent holds currently the PRIMACY in the Olympiad of "Factorization of the Century".
