The research will be of fundamental nature, but it will require the development of prototype software with application on industrial cases. The selected candidate will have the possibility to work on a funded European project interacting with EU and Swiss industry. Potential applications are in the areas of computer-based methodologies for supporting the management of EOL of product systems. The ideal candidate should master notions, methods and tools for modeling of product and manufacturing systems with uncertainty and imprecision. He (she) should be motivated, have a spirit of initiative, the sense of responsibility, and be able to integrate easily in a group of twelve collaborators. Date of engagement: to be discussed.
