Approaching 6 months on diet, I lost about 9-10kg (1kg shy depending on time of the day, before and after meals and bathroom breaks) Exercising definately helps to tone muscle and enhance metabolism but I'm too lazy to get back to running (I used to run 10-13km, 3-4 times a week). Eating less seems the easiest way to loose weight while doing moderate exercise; otherwise, skin gets loose. (I see wrinkles and loosen skin. I feel sad but not enough for me to start regular exercise). Being balanced with those vitamins and nutritions is important. Eat lots of fiber rich food and minimize emtpy caloric alcoholic drinks and soda. Sweets are o.k. as long as the amount of consumption can be controlled (which is tough for me... chocolates, icecreams, etc). After 10kg, I still look like a chubby girl by the Korean standard. I was told my BMI is very healthy and ideal, though. Probably, you are comparing yourself with girls with BMI less than 19. Being healthy is most important. As long as swimming please you and you feel great about what you are doing, I don't think losing no weight is a big concern; however, I can recommend eating less works no matter what! (Weight loss percentages are different depending on one's BMI and the amount of food reduction.) I do envy and praise your persistency and endurance and enthusiasm. Note: BMI = body mass index |
