Vince Clarke(Ersaure major man) was making unbelievably childish yet insightful songs like New Life,Dreaming of me,Just Can't get enough in Depeche mode in early 80's. he left Depeche Mode and made a Yazoo with one singer selected in his audition and put out that song "Don't Go!!!!!!!!" . 2 albums from Yazoo He broke Yazoo and this time choosing one male singer, formed Erasure,which has continued till now. Erasure is electro pop duo(one sings and the other plays synth) from uk. they have about 6 albums for studio ones. for domestic release,from the 3rd album was put out. 1st and 2nd albums are more naive and.hmm......than others. Erasure's chracteristic is rather well shown in their first and second album, I think. but other albums either are not much different in vibe. someone said their songs are "cheerful & soulful". I guess that's the right description for them. I think Vince Clarke is a talentd pop composer and their music is "Good Pop Songs". They also recorded old ABBA songs,so you can guess what they are after in music and what their songs would sould like. Personally,I didn't like them at first because they were nothing new in synth sound and technique. but as songs of pure pop relish,they're real good and I got to like them. they have been around quite long (over 10 years since Vince showed up in music scene) and have been Big except in Korea market :)= In fact,a must for new-wavers now in their 20's and current teenies; quite mainstream even outside new-wave followers. 제가 며칠전에 Erasure의 6집 I say I say I say 를 구입하여 들었습니다. CDC 의 목록에 등장하자 마자 Mute Record 에서 라이센스로 발매를 했군요.. [V] 채널에서 Erasure의 Always 란 곡이 뮤직 비디오의 일위를 차지하는 걸보고 6집이 나올걸 예상을 하였지만...기다려도 나오지 않아... 학수고대하였는데......... 이번 앨범도 역시 Erasure만이 구사하는 음악을 느낄 수 있었습니다.. 역시 Vince Clarke 은 아티스트로서 지조가 있는 사람이었어요 그들은 아바에 영향을 받았다지만..부드럽고 달콤한 분위기는 그들을 능가한다고 생각됩니다. 한국에서는 그리 유명하지는 않지만 이제는 많은 사람들의 팬이 될거라고 생각되요.. 현재는 5집 Chorus 가 제일 유명하다지만 1집의 Wonderland는 역시 그당시 중학생이었던 저에게 new wave에 대한 감상에 젖게 하는 음악입니다.. 감미로움 ..그 자체인 그들의 음악에 찬사를 보내며.. 채팅방의 별명은 롱달이지만 실제로는 보통다리입니다. 키177 몸무게 61 1971년 음력 칠석날 태어났어요. shjeon@gaia.kaist.ac.kr 별루쓸말이 없네요 시그너쳐끝 *:) |
