I don't know how the system got to be called such a name. Probably, the name resulted from one of its contributions which is to make a client be able to have "scene(multimedia data)" with a cheaper computing device. According to the news article, the heart of the technology is a compression technique of multimedia data. To those who have experienced working on the system, could you describe the performance of the system? It sounds like a wonderful system according to the news, but, you know, a news article always tends to exaggerate the result. Big congratulations on those who are involved in the project !! ^_^ |
