The problem: With dual polarity transponders and an antenna setup to transmit and receive, cross-polarity problems happen when the feed of the antenna is not in phase with the corresponding linear pole, thus causing cross-pole to the adjacent. This can be fixed by rotation of the feed assembly until it is in phase with the poles. Circular polarity feeds have a polarity probe for right hand and left hand poles. Does this probe resolve the problem of cross-pole on the adjacent pole? If not, can the feed rotate into phase like dual polarity feeds or is the phase of the feed irrelevant? |
