| [ KAIST ] in KIDS 글 쓴 이(By): mkjung (LOVER) 날 짜 (Date): 2000년 7월 26일 수요일 오후 12시 33분 22초 제 목(Title): Re: 빛의 속도를 깼다는 신문기사...질문 지구 위에서 달을 향해 레이저를 휙하고 휘두르면 달표면에 그 레이저가 지나가게 되겠죠. 이때 지나가는 속도는... 음 계산하기 귀찮아서... ^^; 하여간, 쉽게 광속을 넘게 되겠죠. 고등학교 3학년 때였는데, 같은 반 친구 녀석 하나가 이걸 가지고서는 빛보다 빠른 것이 존재한다고 엄청나게 좋아하더군요. 거의 심각할 정도로... 그때 "그건 질량이 있는 물체에 대한 것을 말하는 거야"라고 해주었던 기억이 나는데, 전공인 분들... 대충 맞는 소린가요? ========== misunderstanding of special relativity. even if the light does not have mass, it WILL NOT break the speed of light. :) the observer on the surface of moon will still observe the speed of the sweeping laser beam as the speed of light. it has nothing to do with the mass but more to do with how to define 'instaneous measurement in space-time'. |
