I see APS films on sale at my local CVS's in Kawasaki/Tokyo area. But I can't recall if I saw them in CVS's in Seoul...? b. the cartridge is compact, but it requires more depth to keep and store many of them compared to 35mm films (<- they are as thin as a sheet of paper!)... this has nothing to do with APS situations in Korea, though. c. if you are aiming to get SLR type camera, you have to remember that the lens focal lengths becomes as 1.5 times as long, compared to that for a 35mm film. If you use wide angle lens, say 20mm, it will be an equivalent of 30mm on an APS system. d. I don't see that many Japanese people use APS format^_^;; e. less variety of films available for APS. if you are a serious hobby photographer, remember that there is only one slide films for APS so far! f. smaller film surface means that it can never have better quality compared to 35mm, it can be equal at its best. (Though you won't see many differences if you don't enlarge enough.) They are the draw backs. Good points about APS would be ....camera body can be smaller than that of 35mm camera. ....you have more controlls on prints from negative films. ....variety of formats, easy loading/ejecting/re-loading. If everything allows, I would like to recommend 35mm film SLRs...
