(This doesn't mean that you have to use IE from now.) Launch IE, and then choose Windows Update from Tool menu. You'll see a list of "XXXX support" at the bottom of the possible upgrade items. Choose Japanese, and wait until the IE to download and install the necessary fonts for you. Reboot the system, launch Netscape, and open Preference dialog. There's a font menu tab. Go to font menu, Choose Japanese as a character set, and set the font names. (MS P gothic, MS gothic should just be fine.) Just other way round, this is how I view Korean characters on my Netscape, FYI (For Your Information.)
