She was recommending you to change the WAY of writing your thoughts. You really don't have to put (unnecessary) exclamation mark, ellipsis dots, and capital letters as you make a point. Nor onomatopoeic words, specially debating. I read yours on the SNU. I don't think it's cultural gap--I've been here in US slightly more than 10 years. It is universal and kinda common sense. If you make print out the postings of Ms. Guest and yours, you may visualize the point she was making. If you get offended, yes, part of blame is on me.
