She liked peanut here; it's free so can't blame her. She looks like an elephant when she eats peanut; you just can't beat her at peanut-contest. You can easily beat me with beer... "Right, let's go to the J. Paul Getty Musemum," proclaimed she. "Yeah, they have a nice replica of Ancient Greek complex," said I, somewhat sneerly. She didn't notice my sneerness, and continued, "But, wait, I think we need some research on Greek art, first." Oh, no... She was getting serious, again. For God's sake, it (telling her my thought-funny "idea") was meant to be a "moment laugh." Certainly, not to the research matter. Sometimes, girl becomes fathomless. It was time to step up. If Korean contemporary Buddhist art be reviewed by future historians, it would be labeled as "standardized factory work." All the faces of Buddha statues are same looking. Our ancestors didn't make it that way; they created beautiful varieties of Buddhistic expressions. You can see Mom's face from some of Buddha's, a farmer's face from, baby face... and so on. Maybe the "contrast" I and she perceived is one of those patterns Greeks took. they simply liked "that" style. Or they were too shy to try other way; some went to the underground, maybe? Anyway, I opined her, with more abstract concepts (and terms). She looked iffy. "More peanuts?" "No, I'm thirsty." "Have beer. It's on me!" She smiled and drank beer. After that, we saw one of Fellini's; very abstract one. I love those LA Days... ----------------------------------------- Mountain is mountain, water is water. --------------------------------------- J |
