[ EnglishOnly ] in KIDS 글 쓴 이(By): guest (Tivor) 날 짜 (Date): 1994년04월05일(화) 08시14분57초 KST 제 목(Title): to guest Ashraf er... forgive me... but i don't understand why you are against having a "chain" (as you call it) on this board. i don't think it has anything to do with people's dedication. (hey, i'm still using guest account, right? =)) i don't think it bothers people very much... but if it does, please let me know. and i understand your point. maybe it's time to check out soc.cul.korea or whatever it's called.... haven't checked it out yet. thanks for your reply =))) oh, about "There is a Beast in us all" thing.... i was not trying to lower anyone's self-esteem there. it's just a conclusion i reached after an evening's pondering. i would explain... but way too long. (i explained it to a friend of mine over email, and i typed one LOOOOOONG email for that one) writing on KIDS is not exactly the fastest thing, so.... wait.. maybe there is a way to write to here via some file transfer... maybe i'll check that out... but then again, i don't think many ppl will want to read the whole thing. well, my point was that everyone has an evil side in them. many people (myself included) feel ashamed when they realize what kind of evil thoughts and deeds they're capable of. many people like to think that they are intrisically good, and they feel bad when they "lose innocence," or allow evil (or downright dirty) thoughts to creep into their consciousness. and my point was that no one is intrinsically good or evil. we all have evil side (the Beast) from birth, just like we have our good side from birth. i'll stop here because my argument gets very christianity-oriented and i think bringing religion in is a bad idea, at least for the moment. at any rate, my conclusion is that there is a living, breathing evil Beast in us, and we can't deny its existence. the only way we'll overcome its dark influence is by facing it and controlling it. (already getting semi-religious, right?) i hope people write some response to this, for it, against it, religion-oriented, or not. i just wanna know what ppl think about this. =) oh, and ashraf, tell me what your partner did to you when he/she learned that it was a joke =)))) thanx for reading~ Tivor with a Beast inside, but not letting it loose. jcp2@cornell.edu |
