I remember when I was at homestay house in England, my landlady,she could not pronounce my name even it was very easy. First she called me as a Kwon my lastnamy because I wrote isas a Korean way. After I told her that was my last nameand she called me as a 'Oh Young'. I thought it was all English so maybe they can pronounce it. But it was not. So for three months I had to be called a little strange sound of my name. And I absoultely agree with thinker. In my school, there are many nativer speaker in language center and all most students havd an English name. they use itin the class and after as well. If students does not have an English. That is strange. Nowadays all of student have an e-mail as well. They usually use it as an English name. |
